ABOUT the Self's
Pre 2012, Arlinda caught the attention of Lance Self on social media. His attention was caught by the professional artistry of Ms. Williams, who was a professional ballet, as well as modern dancer. He told The Toledo Journal, “I was really impressed by her dance; she was fine as wine. The moment I saw her, I knew she would be my wife.” But as the typical narrative of social media goes, Ms. Williams ignored his invitation to meet for about three years. “I really wasn’t interested,” she said while laughing. Mr. Self, a professional sells man, used his persistent, “Gift of gab,” to finally get a date with Ms. Williams, on August 5, 2012. On December 20, 2012, he officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Both dates were rattled off quickly by Mrs. Self, as if they were forever etched in her memory. On June 4, 2016, Mr. Self asked Ms. Williams to be his wife. Years later, on June 16, 2018 she officially became Mrs. Arlinda Self.

Lance and Arlinda Self now have three beautiful children, Lachell (right), Amira (left), Tristan (middle). The Self's have careers at Taylor Hyundai of Toledo, where they strive to make sure they help the community in getting them into the right vehicle! Lance works closely with the community with giving away a car every year for Christmas to help a family in need! Arlinda working along side with Lance, helps with credit repair. Arlinda has a business called Self Love Movement where she has events centered around self care, meditation, yoga and love. Arlinda also has a business called Superior Made Spaces, helping small businesses lease office spaces to grow.
